Math Ten - Tuesday, May 12

Students who completed the unit six test have received their mark via email.  Students who did not submit the test need to request an alternate version of the test.

The first section of unit seven is in two parts.

Math Foundations Two - Tuesday, May 12

You will be emailed quiz 7-5, the key for quiz 7-5, and a video link for the note on Tuesday, May 12.  When you get the email, please respond "Got It"

When you finish pg Pg 298#8a-c and 9 a-e, you should complete quiz 7-5.  You may print the quiz or do it on lined paper.

After finishing and correcting quiz 7-5 using the key, you should watch the video for note 7-6 and complete a note of your own.

Use that note to do Pg 305#7,8,9,10 and 13.  Correct your work using the back of the book.

During the week of May 25 we wiil do the unit seven test.
Math Foundations One - Tuesday, May 12

On Tuesday, May 12 an email will be sent containing the key for worksheet 7-4, quiz 7-4, the key for quiz 7-4 and the link for the last lesson.

For the last lesson of unit seven, you should watch the video lesson.  You may make a note if you choose but it is not required.  The assignment is pg 83-87#3,4,8,10,15,16a,21.  The answers in the back of the book (BOB) will not always match yours because BOB does not use the pi button on his calculator.

There will not be a quiz for pg 83 or a review for this unit.  On Tuesday, May 19 you will get an email with the key for pg 83 and a copy of the test which will be due on May 22.

Math Foundations One - May 4

On Monday, May 4, you will be emailed the key for worksheet 7-3,  Quiz 7-3 (triangular prisms), the key for quiz 7-3, the note outline for 7-4 (cylinders), a completed note 7-4 and worksheet 7-4.

Please reply “Got It” to this email.

Once you have corrected the triangular prism worksheet, do the quiz. You can print it or you can just do it on lined paper.

When you finish the quiz, mark it using the key.

Next watch the you tube video on how to calculate the volume of cylinders. You can copy the note from the video on to the note outline or you can print the  note.

Math Ten - Friday, May 1

The test will emailed to you on Tuesday, May 5.  You may print it or simply do the questions on graph paper.  It is totally your choice.

When you have the test completed please send me pictures of your work.  I will mark it and send you the results.

Hopefully, all tests will be sent in by Friday, May 8.

There will be no zoom this week.  Any questions should be emailed to me.

We will begin unit seven on Tuesday, May 12.

Math Foundations Two - Thursday, April 23

Here is an update of where we are at.

Most students are still working on solving equations pg 281#7-11,17,19,21
Some students wanted the quiz early so it was sent out early for those who wanted it.

On Monday, April 27 quiz 7-3 will be shared again.  On Tuesday, April 28 the answers for the quiz will be shared.

On Tuesday, April 29 the next note and assignment will be shared along with a link to a video supporting the note.

Remember that you can work at your own pace.

Here is where we are at after some of us meeting on zoom yesterday.

I have sent out the note for properties of linear systems and the quiz 6-2, quiz 6-2 key and the note for the last topic.

Right now most students are working on the last assignment (pg 404#1-6) for unit six. 

I will post the last quiz for the unit (quiz 6-3) on Monday, April 27 and the key for that quiz on Tuesday,April 28.

After that, there will be a week to get the review done.

Remember that you can work at your own pace.

Math Foundations One - Thursday, April 16

We are starting Unit Seven


The note and worksheet have also been emailed to you.  You will need a calculator to do this.

You can just read the note or print the note or copy the note down on paper.  Do what works best for you.  If you have questions, email me (cmccrone@sd46.bc.ca).

You can print the worksheet and do it or just copy onto a piece of paper and do it or just put your answers on a piece of paper.  Do what works for you.

I hope you can have this done by next Wednesday, April 22.  If you can't just work at your own speed.

You can read pg 73 and pg 74 in your textbook if you want more explanation.

Math Foundations One - April 15

Your first note and worksheet will be posted here and emailed to you on Thursday, April 16.

On Wednesday, April 22 the quiz will be shared. On Thursday, April 23 the key for that quiz will be shared.

We will get in the routine of quizzes on Wednesdays and lessons/worksheets on Thursdays.  That will give a week for each topic.  This means our unit seven test will not happen until June.

Math Foundations Two - April 15

Here is where we are at after the zoom today.

The note for page 281 and photos of the textbook have been emailed and posted on the blog.

Pg 281#7-11,17,19,21 should be finished by Monday, April 27. (Students decided we needed lots of time)

The quiz for this will be posted on Monday, April 27.
The key for the quiz will be posted on Tuesday, April 28.

Every note and assignment after that will be given one week. That means the test for this unit will not happen until June.

We will get in to a routine of starting and finishing on a Tuesday and talking on a Wednesday.

It is time to start thinking about math.  We have unit seven and unit eight left to complete the year.  I am unsure what it will look like but we will get it done.  We have lots of time.

There were 4 lessons left for unit seven and 7 lessons for unit eight.  

Right now we are working on solving equations pg 281#7-11,17,19,21. I will figure out how to share the note with you and then you will be able to get started.

Until then anyone who missed doing pg 272 should finish that.

We had matching and solving pg 391#1-6,10,12,14, properties pg 406#1-6,8,12,13 and the review left.  This is going to be challenging but I am sure we can get through it.
